"Your contribution as students is solicited We arc for you You Enjoyed by Students In a sneak preview performance last Friday morning at Carbon By Pep Club All Junior and senior girls who wish to apply for membership in the pep dub may do so by filling out applications from the office according to an announcement Monday by Dr A E Jones Each girl must have a "B" average or above She must state her talents and her reason for wishing to become a pepper Parental approval of the club affiliation and a willingness to assume obigations for payment of uniforms club assessments and participation in all dub activities must be presented by prospective applicants The Pep Club elected new advisors and cheerleaders for the coming year last Wednesday it was announced by Phyllis Anderson Pep Club president The advisors this year will be Miss Mary Margaret Flaim and Miss Lucille Jensen Girls chosen as cheer leaders were Judic Laur-Ishand Ncda Nelson Completed Students who are taking Seminary this year will not have the long walk over to the Fourth ward for their classes Instead they will Just have to walk across the street to the newly completed LDS Institute The building has a library two classrooms and a lounge The classrooms have folding doors at each end which can be folded up into the wall to provide a large area for dancing and other entertainment Mr Dean Wengreen re- that activioffices in ties serving as Junior class president at North Emery and as Band president At Carbon he has served as president of the freshman class He plans to attend the BYU next year where he were the Style Dress Revue representatives Judy Ann Hartley a junior demonstrated meal preparation and Judy Hansen a junior represented the county in the poultry judging contest Larcne Jerri and Sharon will receive their ratings for their participation in the near future Judy Ann Hartley was classed in the blue ribbon group and Judy Hansen took third place in poultry judging The group left
