at his homo Ho was born March 30 1914 in Millville Utah Ha was tho oldest Chester P Boss son ol Alfred Budge and Arlene Jessop Low He married June Jenaen Dec 21 1937 In the Logan LDS Temple He lived the first 23 years of Ms life in Cache Valley graduating from Utah Stale Agricultural Cot lege in 1937 He then moved to Ames Iowa and attended Iowa State University where he received his doctorate The next two years were spent m Havana M working for the Illinois Natural History Survey in wetlands and waterfowl research Ho and his family then returned to Logan Utah where he worked 30 years at Utah State University as leader of the Utah Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit and professor In the College of Natural Resources He was instrumental In the education and graduation of more than 150 master and doctoral candidates For a lifetime of service in the conservation field and university student training he received many awards of recognition including a Distinguished Service Award from USU tho Bridger Award from tho Forestry Club at USU and the American Motors Corp Award for Conservation Throughout his Jessop was an active member of tho LD8 Church serving in many organizations including the bishopric high council and stake presidency Ho spent many years as an offidator in the Logan LDS Temple He knew and loved tho outdoors and enjoyed fishing hunting and camping with his famify and friends He is survived by his wife June four sons Eugene J (Pat) Low of Ogden Richard J (Judy) Low of Centerville Jay B (Julio) Low of Providence Gordon J (Stephanie) Low of Providence one daughter churches In Northern Utah before moving to Utah whare he Centerville became building superintendent for Hogan and Tlngoy Constructiori He oversaw the construction of 'numerous commercial buildings and also public structures including schools university facilities visitors centers and churches not only in Utah but also In Idaho and Nevada He was an active faithful member of the LDS Church From 1930
