Show Beaver County Monitor PAGE 3 DECEMBER 5, 1996 ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR SET FOR SATURDAY Homemade candy, jelly and bakery goodies, handcrafted “tuck-ins” gifts, baby quilts, and dozens of other special items will be on sale at the United Methodist Women's ninth annual Christmas bazaar. Cte Tonk Adriana and Rodrigo have chosen Eileen Wagner, UMW member, says that not only does the bazaar raise funds for charitable and civic activities, the group feels the holiday event is a unique community service. “And it's fun besides,” adds Wagner. “We think we Saturday, December 7, 1996 to be sealed for take a little stress out of holiday time and all eternity in the St. George L.D.S. Shopping. Nov. Chnniversary A family party was given for Lorraine & Nona Gillins on Sunday 17th, in honor of their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married on Nov. 14, 1946 in Milford, Utah. Lorraine & Nona are the parents of two children Keith & Connie Gillins of Fillmore, Utah and Kathy & Nels Bedingfield, of Milford. They also have 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. The family was happy to have in attendance Lorraine’s parents, Clair & Helen Gillins. They just recently celebrated their own anniversary of 70 years together. Congratulations! ESA Sorority has had a busy November. When you drive westbound out of Milford on S.R. 21 you will notice the clean highway. On November 9 the ESA members dressed in orange vests, pitched in picked up and disposed of litter along the highway. The sorority appreciates all the help | from the community in keeping our roads into Milford litter free. Our November 11 business meeting was held at the home of Carol Wiseman. We learned about the countries and foods of Kenya, Greece and Italy. After our regular business we were treated to a delicious Italian dessert. On November 25 we met at the home of Kristen Mayer. We welcomed Carla Fowles into ESA as our newest member. Carla and her husband Arden, with 7 year old granddaughter Jennifer moved to Milford from Sacramento, California in Dec. 1995. Carla will be a real asset to ESA and our community. ESA is selling cookbooks made up of recipes from friends and neighbors in our town. They are selling for $15 each. They would make a wonderful Christmas gift. Contact any ESA Sorority member to purchase a book, or call Toni Rollins at 387-2031 between 10am and Spm weekdays. Toni will have a sorority member contact you. On December 21 at the Community Christmas Drawing, ESA is also having its annual Boy and Girl gift drawing. This year we have a beautiful porcelain doll made for the ESA by Robbyn Kindle and a nice collection of various sports balls for boys. The doll and balls are on display in the window of the Milford Drug Store. The tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. We appreciate all the help we receive from the community. Proceeds from our fund raisers allow us to continue supporting various Community service projects. Contact any ESA member for tickets.
