Show PAGE 6 Beaver County Monitor NOVEMBER 28, 1996 a A Touch of Nostalgia Th Pioneer Cruisers car club lined up in ae for photos and memories. old cane e building last Saturday afternoon Fate of the building....a controversy that has divided an otherwise close community.....rests with the incoming school board. New board members Dick DeArmitt, Gary Brown and Robert Strong will join Patricia Rimpau and Norman Lamb in January. Trying to keep the old Milford High School building was not an issue for discussion......quite simply, it was not possible. The new building would not have been fully accessible without demolition of the old building. Also, by the demolition date, it was very easy to determine that a beautiful, flowing campus would be the end result. Beaver’s situation is different. Demolishing the old building in favor of a parking lot does not tie the campus together. Many residents have expressed that they would prefer a sports complex at another location. Still...there is the cost.......and the District must deal with it. Peterson, Pam Ji oo Starla Bradshaw, Ashley White, April Bealer.
