Show NOVEMBER Beaver County Monitor 1, 1996 is PAGE 2 aE Family 4-H Achievement Night 138 4-H’ers and their families attended Family 4-H Achievement Night on Monday October 28 at Minersville Elementary. Nick Marshall and Cherstie Bealer hosted the event. Seven outstanding Senior 4-H’ers received $50 Savings Bonds donated by First Security Bank. 75 members projects were selected to be displayed at the Utah State Fair. These youth were honored and received a ribbon and premium money. 69 4-H Leaders were honored for their contribution to the 4-H program in Beaver county. Each leader received a Certificate of Appreciation and 4-H Mug. Several Ist year Member Achievement Certificates were given. 4 Year Pins were given to those members who have been in 4-H for four years. The three top fund raisers were given prizes for their sales efforts. Many 4H’ers and family members won 4-H door prizes. We would like to thank all who contribute to the 4-H program and thank those who shared the evening with us. She married Samuel Gerald Hickman August 26, 1922 in Milford, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on May 26, 1989. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1988. Alta. graduated from Milford High School when she was only 15 years old. She She was the State President of the PTA. She was instrumental in helping to restore the old Court House in Beaver. She was a great cook and loved to cook pies. She was a member of the LDS Church and was very active in the different organizations. She and _ her husband traveled a good deal in their retired years.
