Show Mitford Moviter PAGE 7 Cive-A-Bell begre Extended Area 9 By Rev. Bill Wagner The Utah Valley Handbell choir of Springville performed here in concert on February 25, 1995. The even was so successful that it was determined that Milford could benefit by having a. handbell choir for our school students and adults. The program of “Give a Bell” was the proposed medium for acquiring a set of bells to get started. The program enables individuals and - organizations to contribute the cost of a bell. A memorial or honoraryi inscription would be placed inside the handle of a : bell designating the intent of the donor. Each inscription is in gold and will be a permanent recognition. Twenty-five bells will be in the initial set. They will be individually tuned to produce excellent tonal quality and resonance. The bells will be available to choirs which will develop under the leadership of Susan Jensen and Nedra Spaulding. These musical groups will prove to ve fine public relations and ~ educational opportunities for Milford. When trained, these groups will accept ' invitations to perform. The bells will be used on the basis of non-sectarian community activity. The choirs will perform at no charge fro any activity or group in Milford.
