The Beaver County Fair August 11, 12, 13 - 1994 1994 Grand Marshalls are Roy & Virginia Young of Milford Mesa, The Beaver County Fair Board is pleased to announce the Grand Marshalls of the Beaver County Fair for 1994. Roy and Virginia Young. Roy is_ originally from Florida. He came to Utah in 1937 and _ later moved to Milford in 1940. He met Virginia Michaelson in Mayfield and they were married in St. George, Utah on June 27, 1939. They have been married for 55 years. __.. Roy was the Mayor ‘of Milford for eight years a councilman, and served as a Chairman for the Democratic Party. He has been very active in many other state and _ local organizations, such as the Utah State Board of Corrections, Utah State Wildlife Board, Southwest Mental Health Authority Board, Human _ Board, Utah Federation, District of the Utah Services Wildlife Director Wildlife Federation, Milford Wildlife Association and a member of the Masonic Temple. He helped organize little league baseball, in the Milford area, and also helped bring the first swimming pool and T.V.'s to Milford. Virginia was a member of the Gray Ladies. She was also a_ very dedicated family person. Her life was dedicated to and — raising her family helping them in any decisions that they made, and to stand by Roy from and a Deputy Sheriff will take the serial number and inspect each bike, give a short bike safety school and let each participant ride their bike through the obstacle course. All articles need to be at the Fair Building between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday August 8th. Flowers and vegetables need to be entered Wednesday August 10th, between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Don't forget to come and watch the Moto-X at 9:00 Saturday morning. Mud Volleyball starts at 1:00, and the exciting Demolition Derby at 5:00 p.m. Plan on dancing up a storm after the derby to the music of "The Back Country Band". Plan on_ spending Saturday at the Fair. Beaver County Fair has some new fun and free activities planned for this year. Children will learn to make balloon animals, juggle, do magic tricks and learn a short skit. Each child will be able to do face painting, Color their hair and make their own clown ruffle to wear. Friday, August 12th, at 2:00 pm. we invite ‘everyone to come to our free Bike Rodeo and Safety School.
