Show Letter to the editor Dear Editor The following anonymous letter let let- letter letter let let- ter was received by me on July 15 1971 Surprise I Surprise is right As an old I was really surprised surprised surprised sur sur- to return to my old hometown and see what a disgrace disgrace disgrace dis dis- dis- dis grace the old Ephraim Mill Millis is I would imagine since you were so instrumental In restoring the theold theold old wreck you could at least whitewash the old thing for the homecoming If U you think the old Mormon pioneers would woul be proud of you keeping the thing the way It looks you better do a little soul searching They were neat and clean In whatever they did They would be the first to either paint and fix it up or tear the dirty thing down The poor people of Ephraim have tried so hard to make their little town look nice and along comes someone like you you who evidently doesn't care how bad or dirty things look or you would do something about it I would think that in memory memory memory mem mem- ory of those who worked so hard to erect this building you owe them the courtesy of either tearing It down or fixing it up Seeing how your own yard looks it will most likely look the same In ten years as It does today Feeling sad and mad An old Any comments would be ap ap- ap Sincerely Richard Nibley Ephraim Utah |
