Selection of athletes is an innovation begun by this year's lettermens' club under the of Gary Wayne Graff and Earl Thompson. Karl Brooks is secretary of the organisation. The club will present the athletes with individual trophies on honor day, May 23. Mr. Solomon was selected for his participation in basketball and track events. Last year he was selected on the basketball team and this year he served as captain of the Dixie Rebels. At the Ath. letic Conference last vear. he won the conference mile. In this year's raay ai jangnam Young Univer ity, he placed second. A graduate of Cyprus high school, he was selected in his senior year there as a member of the second team.
