Churches, Clubs, Schools and Other Activities No War for UNIVERSITY NOTES When does a college have no social life? Answer: During the laat days of a quarter and test week. Class work for the Autumn quarter at the University of Utah had ended on Friday, De cember 8, and for the next week the student body will be occupied with the serious business of final examinations for the quarter. A new system of make-u-p examina tions for students who work dur ing the holidays is being used this year, and the exams are given at six o'clock in the morning. Xmas holidays will begin at the end of test week, December 15, and ex tend to January 2, registration day for the winter quarter. Class work will be resumed the follow lng day. Social life during the past week has been practically suspended and will remain so until about the fifteenth, when it will burst into vivid renewal with a round of parties and holiday festivities. Christmas trees, wreaths, and all the holiday paraphernalia already decorate the campus and various buildings, and most social organizations will be sponsoring Xmas E. D. 8.
