Accidents In the home cause more fatalities every year than occur in industrial plants, while the accident rate in factories is steadily decreasing, no such progress has yet been mads in reducing home accidents. Carelessness, ignorance and a want of any proper fefcling of responsibility are doubtless important factors In this lamentable condition. In a publication just issued entitled Safety for the Household,' the national bureau of standards to combat this situation by disilisslhg the hazards arising in the home and by pointing out what can be done to avoid the accidents which result from carelessness and inattention to proper precautions.
