Comments By Sandy Well here it is the middle of August, just a few more weeks of summer left . If any of the menfolks in your home like to go hunting for chickens, or ducks or pheasants; 111 bet they arc beginning to itch already. I can almost hear them say, Well just a month and a half now and we can get out and shoot some ducks." You know, as a hunter I never was very successful but I do like to get out and try. Nearly every year, several friends and myself take a trip to Fish Lake around We go to enjoy October first both the fishing and the shooting. I remember about five years, on the opening day of the duck shooting season, sunrise found my friends and myself, in .the brush near the north end of Fish Lake. It seemed to me there were millions of ducks, lots of them flying high, but plenty of .them flying low enough to be within range. "When the mornings' sport was over, I was low man, with just one little duck to show for about two boxes of shells shot away. One member of the group had sixteen birds. And I had shot more shells than he had. I asked him why he was so much more successful than I and he said, "Oh, I dont know, but whenever I see a flock of ducks coming my way, I pick out just one bird in the flock. I aim right at It and fire and often I hit it I knew then that was my trouble. I handn't been aiming at one bird. Id been just banging at the flocks. When me stops to reflect, that duck hunters rule of aiming at one bird at a time, instead of banging at the whole flocks is & A pretty good rule to follow. one builded wall brick, is great at a time. Whatever goal or ambition you may set for yourself, no matter how difficult it If youll analize it, may seem. and separate it into a number of small parts, and then aim toi accomplish (me small part after another; your success is almost sure to come. One step upon another is the way to climb a ladder. Sincerely Sandy J . ay . SUGARHOUSE HOD The marriage of Miss Elaine Sir. and Sirs. E. A.
