Its a simple case of lack of interest on the part of the city officials. He would like to see the library expanded and used more often. Of course, the man who is the real boss is the Mayor, John Price. I would like to see the Mr. Price library improve, says, but I havent heard much concern from the citizens. The only way the situation is going to change is for the citizens to let me know they want it changed. about 50 are adults. My job is to catalog books, keep the place in order, and check books in and out, Ms. Clegg says. I would be happy if I could just get all the books out on the shelves, and get the place in order. Ms. Clegg was bom and raised in Park City, and has been the librarian for the last 7 years. The person responsible for helping Ms. Clegg in her duties and who orders books for the library is Ms. Kathryn Hansen. Interest: All members of the staff and management of the library agree that lack of interest is the greatest single obstacle to progress. If more people expressed concern for the state of the library, the condition would undoubtedly change. PLANS FOR THE FUTURE 1. John Sharp, head of the Arts Foundation, mentions that the Foundation has decided to make the library the subject of their community project this coming year. Their greatest concerns seem to be first, that all books are put up on shelves (not in boxes); and second, that visiting tourists be allowed to use the binding, sorting, cataloging, and discarding books; cleaning and helping to renovate the building and buying, library. Andrus, head of the Historical Committee, says that the Committee has voted to restore the facades of City Hall and the Library by 1976. This restoration will be part of the bicentennial program. 3. Clare Elwell and Juli have worked with the State Library Commission to help bring the Bookmobile to Park City. They both feel the Book-mobican only help to stimulate Parkites reading. 2.
