Show Wednesday, June THE PARK CITY 2G, 1374 COALITION Page 3 ZONING AND BUILDING ( BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS The Park City Board of Adjustments met Tuesday night, June 18th, to consider applications for zoning and building variances. Mr. William Rixey appeared before the Board seeking permission to erect a 10 foot by 50 foot trailer at 357 Main Street. Mr. Rixey explained the trailer would be screened from the street and would be used for an accounting office and a work area for adjacent construction. In his original application eight months ago, Mr. Rixey stated that the trailer would be used to house a kitchen and washing and drying facilities. The Board was of the opinion that the matter was no longer subject to their jurisdiction since the proposed use had changes. In addition, City Attorney Carl Nemelka said he could not find where the Board had the authority to grant permission to place a trailer near Main Street. He stated that trailers were only allowed on construction sites for a period of (me year. Mr: Rixey desires to use the trailer for two years. He said he could not place the structure on the actual con- struction site because the proposed building consumes the entire site. Mr. Rixey was referred to the Planning Commission for further consideration of his situation. He stated that the eight-mont- h delay had placed him in a hell of a bind and that he would abandon his request for approval. Mr. Rixey said he would utilize space in an existing building for office and work purposes and remarked that he hopes future requests of a similar nature from other persons do not meet the same obstacles and delays which he Mr. Jim Fahs requested a setback variance for his property located in the area of 13th Street and Empire Avenue. Mr. Fahs land lies in two different zones, commercial recreational and multiple residential .He asked for a setback requirement on Empire Avenue as opposed to the ten-fo- ot setback called for by commercial recreational zoning. The Board of Adjustments granted Mr. Fahs permission to abide setback which is by the ten-forequired by multiple residential twenty-foo- t ot zoning. Mr. Pete Henderson and Mr. Chris Hooykaas applied for a variance to the number of square feet of land which is needed to build on their property off Daly Avenue. The property is four square feet shy of the required area. The Board granted the request.
