Show Chaplains corner The Deseret Sampler, Fri., September 1, 1972 Nerdin, Fair cloth by CH (Lt Col) Ross C. Wright get postal awards by Richard Bell Dugway Postmaster and Nerdin Kenneth L. W. received Faircloth Johnny Pride in Excellence Awards from the Western Region United States Postal Service on August 15. MR. NERDIN has been employed at the Dugway Post Office for two years and has been a resident of Dugway for 10 years. Mr. Nerdin's award was presented for continuous service above Postal Service de- livery standards and his interest in the Postal Service customer. Mr. Faircloth has been a letter carrier at Dugway since April 1069. The award was presented for outstanding performance with regard to customer contact, uniform appearance and pride in the Postal Service. These awards are presented to postal employees that excel in promoting good relations with postal customers. THE EMPLOYEES of the Dugway Post Office want to provide our customers with the best service passible. We feel many times service is hindered due to a lack of customer knowledge of services available. Recently, we have received many inquiries concerning postal rates, regulations, special mail commemorative services and stamp collecting. WE ENCOURACE your inquiries, preferably in writing. I think that the main thing is for American people to show concern for the prisoners of n jvar and those missing in - to let the North Vietnamese know we are concerned tbout our men and want them etumed home in safety, Debi That was the feeling of an girl when she heard from her mother in 1966 that her father, an Air Force pilot, was shot down over Laos. But over the next five years young Debi Wood found faith. Her father, Maj. Don C. Wood, is still listed as missing in action and it has meant much spiritual suffering and many aid. Debi sacrifices for her mother and five 16-ye- ar ac-io- has written a poem that describes her feelings and perhaps those of other waiting families.
