When my husband Judge George A. Faust passed away five years ago I decided to help alleviate my loneliness by having the group of widows and old members of the original Cottonwood Ward. Since it has been divided now six times, the old residents never get to see each other and they look forward each year to asso" ciating together. Amy Faust, mother of President James Faust of the Cottonwood Stake, gives a party every fall of the year for some of the original members of the Cottonwood area who are now in the "fair of their lifetime. Those attending are mostly widows now and the group includes virtually all of those that are left from the old Cottonwood Ward Relief Society. Among the many people who were at the party were sane who can remember this area as it used to be many many years agp. We could 'go back as far as 87 years ago and remins" isce with some of these of the original Holladay, which is so vastly changing. year Mrs. Faust was assisted in planning and giving the party by Alta Garrett, Annie Durant and Ora Murdock neighbors. Many of the ola stalwarts are leaving us and taking with them thea wonderful histories of the past. It's good idea to jot down the reminiscings of the oldsters. Do It today. . . . okay?
