Among the other awards are desk pen and pencil sets, college dictionaries, and a special bonus will entitle the two top students to win for their schools a tuition one-ye- ar scholarship to the Institute for Secretarial Training. These may then be scholarships awarded by the school of the winning student to any graduating senior who is interested in becoming a secretary. Winners in the Business Education contest will be determined through performance tests in shorthand, transcription and typing. In addition, there will be a written examination covering related business procedures and skills. Each student should have a pen, a shorthand tablet and a type eraser. All other needed supplies will be provided. Dictionaries may be used if the contestant wishes to bring one. William C. Ward, Director of the Institute for Secretarial Training, will be in charge of the first annual contest. Those who have not yet entered via a formal entry blank, may telephone Mr. Ward at the College of Business or call 1 before Saturday, or they may report at the site of the contest, Business Building, (322-771- 306-30- Contest tion Fish This Year There will be no size limit on any fish species in Utah this year. This regulation has been in effect on most waters of the state for several years; however, the addition of quality fishing waters has introduced a minimum size limit of 12 inches on some streams listed in Young horsewomen throughout the State are invited to compete in the Annual Strawberry Days Rodeo Queen contest, to be held May 30. Contestants will be judged on riding ability, personality and beauty. They must be 16 years of age or older. Past Queens are not eligible but Attendants are. They must be available for Days radio and TV appearances. The Queen and her attendants will reign over rodeo festivities June 18, 19 and 20. There is no entry fee, according to Vernon Ahman, rodeo chairman. Contestants may obtain applications by writing to Vernon Ahman, 309 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah 84062. Applications should be sent for and returned to Mr. Ahman before May 20. Cash awards are $50 for the Queen and $35 to each attendant. The Queen will also receive the entry fee for the Miss Rodeo Utah contest when she enters the State competition. a Definitions r--i previous proclamations. There are some changes in the angling regulations this year, and it is the sportsmans responsibility to become familiar with any changes in regulations.
