Schwab and his wife Sadie Pearl of 173 Ideal Lane, Salt Lake City, were caught In the camera lens as they entered the church yard at the Granite Park Stake Center Sunday February 1st. This couple attended church functions more conslstantly than many others do. Carrying most of his weight on hand crutches because of leg paralllses, Carl Schwab has dedicated himself to the task of doing the possible, under seeming Impossible conditions. The example of fortitude, determination, perslstance, faith and courage of this man Is the kind of power that builds character and moves mountains. His lovely wife Is most always by his side and ready to assist In the more difficult tasks of motivation. He drives his own car and does other tasks of service for himself and for others. Carl Schwab was born Feb. 5, 1911. It Is a real pleasure to say Happy Birthday to you Brother Schwab. Various Items were placed In the box and then by magic they were transposed when they came out. For example, one teacher put a baby doll In one end and received a real live doll from the other: none other than Mr. Anderson. Mr. Nlchol portrayed a Home Ec. teacher Instructing the students in the fine art of making a tossed salad. Other acts included a hillbilly band and a cowboy singing group. I Madison School P.T.A. will be having Its Annual Founders Day meeting on Monday Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. Pass Presidents will be honored and a panel discussion of Special Services provided the children of the school. The following will be on the panel: Mary Olpln, a Special teacher; Mrs. Ruth Clayton, reading Specialist; Helen William a Social Worker, and Ellen Gummestad, a Speech and Hearing Specialist. A musical program will also be presented by children from the 1st and 2nd grade. Senators Richard J. Evans and Edward Beck. These Senators provided a real fun time for senate and spectators Friday during discussion on Common Day of Rest (Sunday closing). Parlimentary processes were used and handled adeptly during a 2 hour discussion. r |
