However, the State's No Burning law will heap additional work on these sanitation specialists to keep our city clean and spotless. The Senator said the legislation follows generally recommendations made by the American Bar Association In the past. Senior Citizens Park Bill Bennett Sponsored By Wallace or small Senator Wallace F. Bennett, joined In sponsoring a bill to 65 and older exempt citizens from having to pay entrance fees for any national park or recreational area. Senator Bennett said, Our bill would aid about one tenth of our nations popularion, 20 (m) million persons In visiting and enjoying the splendor of our national parks and forests. Although elimination of the entrance or users fee for these citizens would only take care of a small part of the costx of visiting our national parks and recreational areas, It would fittingly express our concern for these persons, may of whom are on fixed R-U- tah Incomes. The Utah Republican, who the bill with Sen. Howard W. Cannon, D- - Nev., said the measure would exempt citizens 65 and older from paying entrance fees to recreational areas administered by the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife, Forest Service, Bureau of Reclamation, and other Federal agencies administering such lsco-spoosorl- ng areas. It Is important that our nations senior citizens, who usually have much free time, be able to take advantage of these scenic wonders. I hope our bill contributes to this end, Sen. Bennett said. |
