Mrs. Burt Blckler will tell us about her assignment with her husband to Jordan to obtain the Dead Sea Scrolls for the Church from King Husslen. They were successful in this assignment. They went with Hugh B. Nibley. This should be most interesting and anyone interested is invited to attend. Luncheon will be served and baby sitters provided. This will begin at 10 a.m. ,, , MILLER WARD The 6th Quorum of Elders have been assigned to clean up the parking space. They are to clear out tree stumps, etc. for additional parking area. Don Babcock is building cabinets for the library of our Ward and Dave Dalton will be painting them. There is a plan for three (3) additional class rooms in the Ward. The Sunday School needs additional rooms on the north end. This will cost about $20,000. The people from the Miller Ward will do the labor. The Ferron Prescott family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness during their bereavement. So . . . each member is making an article at home this month, to bring to the party. These gifts will be kept until time for our Bazaar in the fall, and then displayed for sale: Other highlights of the birthday party will be a dramatic skit, "Angels Beside Us," telling of the compassionate services of the Relief Society organization. The Scouts and Explorers attended A Court of Honor last Thursday II at Southgate Ward. Six merit badges were presented to the Scouts and Barry Walton received his Star Badge.
