With all their daily tasks to perform, from early morning till late at night some fathers very seldom have time to fit into the family picture as was intended at the beginning of their married life. Yet some fathers do well and make time to have a family hour, or a day to enjoy life with their families. They learn to know Dad and appreciate him for his goodness and the sacrifices he makes for them. But "Fathers Day has other very important parts to play in the great drama of life. We can look back to a time when we were under the tutorship of good parents, and especially how we always looked forward to Dads return from his in daily work with lunch-buck- et hand and we run to see if he had, as usual, left some of his lunch for us, (a piece of cake, a sandwich or an apple) or it was payday. You know, the nickle or dime made us feel like we were a very important part of the family, and dad was the hero we worshiped and loved because he belonged to us. We were rich because we knew Dad would provide food and shelter, a new pair of shoes that often stretched the family budget out of shape; the new Sunday clothes, and all the nick-nac- ks and special items needed in a well regulated family. We can hardly forget the spat on the seat, or the little switch from the tree, that usually meant 1 love you, but the weeds are still in the garden, the wood isnt chopped, or you didnt come home after school, etc.1'. Fathers Day will be observed Sunday, June 16, in all 50 States by Americans who gladly welcome the privilege to honor the nations Dads and Grandads. Life withfather is wonderful. Tell him sa and that you love him. A kiss, a thank you dad, are presents he wont forget Lets make this Fathers Day one he cant forget. Luthi's Proud Of Family The Frank G.
