Whitney of Boxelder Begins to Explain His Plan for Economic Salvation r . i The following is the beginning of some short articles explaining a plan for the economic salvation i: of the people. To save democracy and constitutional government it not cost anything to start on the following four terms: Theme, Creed, Code, Slogan. The Theme is How to Make the World Better and a Million Ways to do it. rl he Creed is: Stand Not In the Way of Youth. Let them work, take responsibility, pay the price or penalty, gain the reward, but stand by the Constitution and the majority law, One for All and All for One. Equality and justice. The Code: Abstain from the Use of Tea. Coffee, Liquor, To bacco Profanity and Immorality. Slogan: Support no Organization, Denomination, Corporation, or Society that accepts the present Capitalistic system while it allows unlimited incomes and takes interest on money. Pay no man any more than $10 a day and allow no interest on money. The purpose of the dollar is to team with man, man to be the positive.ths intelligence, and the dollar to be the negative, means of exchange, without interest. All for the convenience joy, and satisfaction of each and all. Work and income for everyone. Money to be obtained, easily and plentifully, for homebuilding, etc. (If interested, drop me a line. W.W.Whitney, Tremonton, Ut. il . will i How would Abraham Lincoln measure up to the present Limes? Where would he stand if le were heretoday? These qu 'J ions maybe answered by telling how he measured up to his own :imes and where he stood on Lhe questions of his day. He shouldered the great problems and set about to solve them, with faith io the right as God gave him power to see the right He stood for the poor and lowly and supported his faith in and aymphathy for them by his heroic deeds. If he stood for the bond slaves of his time, surely he would stand for the r boudjslaves of today. As he fought a war blacks that the might have freedom and opportunity to earn their bread, so would he fight toda in another kind of a war to the endthatalljmen might have freedom and an opportunity to earn an honeat livelihood. Were Lincoln here today he would stand shoulder to shoulder with the leading Liberals and again give his life to the cause of human welfare. eco-cono- four-yea- : 246 SO.
