County Line Utah County Plans Confab In Provo, Utah By Janet Trowbridge Utah County is planning its county convention to be held Sept 24. Meeting place is the Provo City and County Building at 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Davis County Young Republicans are pushing their membership drive. A telephoning committee is in action at the present time. Contact with prospective members will then be done in person by the YRs. Ted Bradford is running for County Attorney in Davis County and is an active Young Republican. The Weber County YRs are busy preparing their campaign for Congressman Aldous Dixon. Membership drive is another big project with the Weber YRs. Tooele County is preparing to organize a Young Republican group. Interested persons met at a convention held Sept 19. Officers were elected at this time. The Salt Lake County YRs are in the middle of a membership drive. They are also setting up a district organization of YRs. Mrs. Madge Fairbanks, member of the Salt Lake County YRs spoke before the Tooele Republican Womens Club - Sept 11. Topic of her discussion was Future Horizons." She mentioned the Young Republican organization and where it fit into party action. She also talked on the advantages of belonging to the Young Republicans.
