Show Utah Womans Review May 1973 " Day Issue Page 13 Something " fo r There Mothers is a Nothing group of women in the who have taken advantage of special Salt Lake Valley an opportunity to help themselves by creating clothes for their families - using fabrics donated by local manufacturers Classes are organized through combined efforts of coordinators of homemaking programs and agency directors Some agencies involved are: Head Start - Ma the son School - Dee Edwards Community Action' - Ida Jorgenson Central City - Ed Hansen Northwest Multipurpose Center - Jim Hols ten Follow Thru - Raille Fuller YWCA 7 Velma Crawford & Mary Lou McMullin Migrant Council - Alex Perea - Robert Archuleta Manpower High School Family Services - Beth Hansen SL Council on Aging - Lucile Hutchings Neighborhood House - Myra Hansen 1 Jackson Community School - Don Gundry Jordan Community School - Joe Manning Lincoln Community School - Richard Nelson An. effort is made to invite women who are not financially able to buy their own materi- als to come in groups in their together own neighborhoods and learn, the techniques of clothing, even though many strips and pieces have to be put together before they can be constructed The program is indebted to Gladys Dunn, our wants, our needs, and our pleasures. Adult Distributive Education is vocational training for adults in the area of business, sales, and management. It came into existence in the middle 1930s as a result of federal legislation designed to help the general economy by improving through training the production and efficiency of adults already employed. As with all other vocational education, Adult D.E. is a direct responsibility of the Utah State Board for Vocational Education. The administration of Adult D.E. is accomplished, however, through local school districts. WHERE IS TRAINING DONE? Location for training is made as convenient as possible for businesses and individuals.
