Burns Detective Agency, she has advanced from payroll clerk to Northwest District Accounting Manager. Along the way she has worked in all of the company's departments and has interviewed, hired, dispatched guards, has been Accounting Office Manager of the Salt Lake Branch, was in charge of the entire office procedure and personnel, and, branched into job bidding through various electronic systems. Members of Utah's 13 chapters from Salt Lake City, Provo and Ogden were in attendance. Special Guest for the event was Mrs. Darlene Rollins, Downey, California, American Business Women's Association Northwest District Vice President. She spoke of the values of ABWA, its meaning to her, and told of some of her treasured experiences this past year. She toured around Salt Lake City and spent the night. Her travels took her to Boise, Idaho the next day. Tickets were sold on special prizes to help support Barbara Evans in her bid for the national office of Northwest District Vice President. The following were the lucky winners: Maza Overlade, 'personalized stationery from Western Paper; Madge Zoellner, personalized stationery from Western Paper; Rosemary Gould,, fi. compact leather wallet- - secretary from Burns International Detective Agency; Chrystella Bagley, a beautiful velour robe from LeVoy's. Barbara made a special effort to be at the picnic since her transfer and promotion made it necessary to move to Seattle. She expressed her thanks for all who came and the efforts being made in her behalf. Ti- - Ute Chapter of Provo, Utah is having a beautiful quilt made with each chapter's name embroidered in squares. Chances were sold on this quilt for their scholarship project this year. It will be given away in November. The food was delicious as every potluck is and everyone . enjoyed renewing DARLENE ROLLINS, ABWA Northwest District Vice Pres. Guest of honor at the Inter ' Chapter Picnic of ABWA held in August was Darlene Rollins of California and Northwestern District Vice President of American Business Women's Association. Mrs. Rollins from Downey Emerald Charter Chapter was Chapter President in 1969 and voted Woman of the Year in her area in 1970. This vibrant interesting, active woman is assistant manager of the Bank of Downey and Arthur Rollins. The Rollins have one daughter, who is also an ABWA member. Her community interests include a member of the Lady lions; working with the March of Dimes; the Junior Blind; member of the Order of Eastern Star and Job's Daughters. Darlene loves bowling, swimhand-mad- e ming and making decorations. DBWJE2OTMW 1972 Bryant, Comedian Bill Bernardi and the Lenny Dawson Orchestra. Some very lucky ABWA members from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Washington will combine for a gorup flight to Miami Beach, Florida for the Annual Convention October 1 1972. The flight leaves Salt Lake City on the morning of October 12. There will be one 2-1- in Denver approximately 50 members, post- - 5, Chappell to a member of Bonneville Chapter ABWA.
