Show Page 6 1 Utah farm'eju&au news July, 1967 NSC Points Out Hazards to Kids The National Safety Council reminds parents that summer is the time of the year when children between the ages of 5 and 14 are most prone to accidents. Leon J. Urben', manager of the Councils Farm Department, says the situation is particularly acute on farms. He points out that the death rate of farm residents due to accidents is 20 per cent higher than for the nation as a whole. Keep guns unloaded, locked up and out of sight and reach of exploring youngsters. Before letting older boys hunt, make sure they fully understand and follow the rules of safe hunting.
