Show Mdy, 1967 Holstein Assn. Sets Date For Annual Meeting A record number of delegates are expected to meet at Minne- when Minnesota, Association of America holds its June 28 convention. Breeders in the host state are planning a four day program of events which opens June apolis, 25. Recent boosts in the national dairy organizations membership will qualify a record number of 218 elected delegates to attend from every state and Puerto Rico. Delegate representation at Holstein conventions is based on active membership by states. Families and other Industry visitors are expected to bring over 1,500 to the Twin Cities. Main speaker on the convention program is Dr. Walter H. Judd, former Congressman, phy- Koy E. Miskin Senior Gets Award USU E. Miskin, a Utah State University graduating senior, was awarded a $200 scholarship in ceremonies at the school in Logan, Koy May 11. Koy will be studying under a 3 year NDEA fellowship at the University of Minnesota doing graduate work in plant breeding. During his work at U.S.U., Koy was active in the Plant Science Club, Alpha Zeta and was this spring student chairman of the Universitys Festival of Creat- ivity. Air Pollution Opportunity for U.S. Leadership Senate Subcommittee hearing testimony on the Air Quality Act of 1967 was told Wednesday that the Federal government should take the lead in developing new air pollution abatement technology. Sen. Frank E. Moss, testified before Sen. Edmund Public Works SubMuskies on committee Air and Water Pollution. The government facilities are the same as those used by the private sector. Moss said. "The Federal government should also be a 'proving ground for the development of new pollution abatement devices.
