Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery. She was born Oct. 19, 1890, in Logan, to Frank Andrew and Amanda Chariot ta Elia-so- n Benson. She married John Henry Ward June 26, 1912, in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a graduate of Brigham'Young College, and a charter member and captain of the Garland Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had served as auxiliary president and state director He April 4, Mrs. Harris received her education in Cache County schools and at Brigham Young College. She was a charter member and past president of the Womens Literary Society of Rich-- . mond, and was a former writer for Logan and Salt 1927. Mr. Harris was a member of the LDS church, and a High Priest in the Ridgecrest-WarHe worked for the' U.S. Government as a chemist, stationed at the Navy d. Ordinance Testing Station at China Lake, Calif. Surviving are his widow; He died Thursday in a Salt Lake hospital after a long illness. He was bom June 25, 1920, in Richmond, to Lorin and Gem Brower McGavin. He married Ida DeWitt June 20, 1948, in Reno, Nevada. A veteran of World War II, he served In the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the LDS Church., and by Amos Chase, Provo; Ernest Chase, Pocatello, Idaho; Arthur Chase, Base, Idaho; Wilford Chase, Idaho Falls; threes sisters. They were in Seoul, Korea, for two days, then flew to Hong Kong where they spent four days. At this point the Hyers met their son, Douglas, who had just been released from his LDS mission. He accompanied them for the remainder of the tour. They then flew to Taipai, the capitol of Taiwan; then to Osaka. Japan. At Kyoto. Japan, they boardpd the bullet train which travels 140 miles per hour, and went to Mt. Fuji, where they stayed for two days.
