Howe Pleased With Committee Choice Carf Nemeiki To Co To Utah County Carl Nemelka Salt Lake County Attorney Carl Nemelka will become a member of the staff of the Utah County attorney after the first of the year. Mr. Nemelka did net seek to the post of Salt Lake County Attorney this year. Utah County attorney elect Noall Wootton made the announcement. Mr. Wootton said that Nemelka will be his chief deputy and will be sworn in re-electi- January ... U.S. Supreme Court Lawyer for the State of Utah have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to accept the recommendations of its own special Master who has said that Utah is the rightful owners of the shore-land- s of the Great Salt Lake. Christmas Greetings From The Staff Of The Salt Lake Times Congressman-elec- t Representative elect Alan T. Howe this week expressed great elation at his assignment to the Interior and Insular Affairs committee. The committee was one of his top choices. I dont feel that I could have possibly drawn a better assignment in the interest of the state of Utah, Mr. Howe commented. Mr. Howe said that the interior committee in the traditional powerhouse committee for the West, having jurisdiction over legislation involving water development, public lands, environment, national parks and monuments and Indian Affairs. The public works committee has recently been given an enlarged role.
