Wilbur Mills Will Receive 2nd Arthur Watkins Award FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 1969 Sheriff Larson Gives Assignments to Eight New Officers Eight new men have been given assignments by Salt Lake County Sheriff Delmar L. Larson. Twelve other department members have been given transfers in the department. Sheriff Larson said additional moves would be made within the month as soon as new rookies are graduated from the police training school at Weber State College. Some 24 are enrolled, the sheriff said, Eight men assigned to the patrol division include Dave M. Kelly, Bernard Anjewierden, James Courtright, Elray J. Dow, C. Donald Harmon, Loni F. David A. Paul and John R. Terry. Five men transferred from the patrol to the detective division include William Oefinger, Garth Beckstead, Leonard D. Carr, Joe Miller, John.T. Fife. .. Moving from detective division to patrol are Tom World, Roy Rettalick and Charles R. Hebden.
