Show 19, 1968 July THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER the Ted Johnsons of Eureka spent a few days at Fish Lake. Mrs. Vivian Stewart returned home last Friday from a trip spent in California. Her sister, Mrs. Alberta Freeman and her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Southern of Long Beach came to Eureka and Mrs. Stewart made the trip with them. She visited in Long Beach with the Southerns and in Los Angeles, and in San Diego with a son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Radtke, where they made a visit to the Sea World Amusement Park, and in Lake-woo- d with Mrs. Thelma Reich-erwhere they enjoyed a family dinner, and before leaving for home, Mrs. Stewart had the pleasure of having lunch two-we- ek Miss Helen Hopes spent the weekend here at the home of Mrs. Earlean Gear. May of Salt Lake, Mrs. Jeanine Robinson and son, Craig of Murray and George May of South Gate, Calif., and Mrs. Sherwin Thomas of Goshen. They are nieces and a nephew of Mrs. Thomas. David Chambers ,son of Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson and Mrs. Wayne Chambers, is spending a two week leave from his base at McCord Air Base in Washington. He is attending school there, and will return there at the end of his leave. son of Mr. Tommy Taylor, and Mrs. Mark L. Taylor, ar- rived home during the week, where he will spend a k furlough. He has been stationed at San Diego Naval Base and when he returns will be two-wee- d, sent out to sea on the U.S.S. and family spent two days last week at Flaming Gorge and in the High Ulntas. They returned home on Saturday. .and Mrs. Don Nissley and daughter .Suzanne of Renton, 111., left Tuesday morning for their home after spending the past two weeks here with her mother, Mrs. Ed Webb. They were called here by the death of Mrs. Nissleys father, Ed Webb, T-S- gt Nicholas Destroyer. with 7 of her sisters at the Freeman home in Long Beach. She went to Lytle Creek, California for graduation exercises for Craig Levig. Later she returned to Provo and accompanied Mrs. Bina Bate and son, Dale on a trip to Portland, Oregon, where they visited with Mrs. Bates son and family, Mr .and Mrs. Lee Bate, and with a daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hawkins. Upon her return to Utah she spent a few days in Orem with Mrs. Esther Stokes and daughters and another couple of days were spent in Provo with Mrs. Bate and family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Levig were visiting in Orem with Mrs. Stokes and they drove Mrs. Nevers . to Eureka Saturday evening. They were on their Tuesday guests at the home of Mrs. Mary Thomas were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Jewkes of Idaho Falls, Ida.; Mrs. Sterling way for a vacation trip to Canada. Their three sons made the trip with them. Mrs. Bernadino Gros and chil- -- dren of Genola were in town on Sunday attending church services at Eureka Methodist Church. The Department of the Army has announced a change in age requirements for the Womens Army Corps (WAC) officer applicants. Applicants for direct commission as first lieutenant will now be accepted if they have not reached age 33 by the date of appointment, Sergeant Russell Jahn, Army recruiter, stated. Officer Candidate School applicants must be at least 19 years and 8 months of age at the time of enrollment in school and must not have reached age 33. The maximum age limit had been 29, he explained. College seniors and graduates may apply now for the WAC Officer Basic Course at Fort McClellan, Ala., beginning February 4, 1969. While there they made a trip to Ogden where she had the pleasure of meeting two nieces and a nephew, Mrs. Ida Stafc-hoifrrs. Gladys Rolfe and n Dale and son, Glade. They were dinner guests at the Stat-ho- s home on Saturday. The Jensens brought Mrs. Thomas to Eureka Sunday. The trip to Ogden was especially enjoyable as she hadn't seen her nieces and nephew for a number of s, La-vo- district. MEET THE PROTECTION TEAM THAT WORKS FOR YOU years. Mrs. Steve Milne and sons, Scott and David, drove to her parents home in Golden, Colo- rado June 17, and returned home July 3. During their two-wevisit, Mrs. Milne helped prepare the publicity for an art display by her father, Mr. Robert C. Dvorak of Golden. The exhibit included 14 varied pictures in oils and acrylics, ranging from expansive color panorama to the Grant. Tetons, which normally hangs in the Milne living room, to a minutely-detailed color reproduction of a renovated ,old time fire engine. A seascape painted by Mrs. Milne and a mountain landscape done by her sister, Judy Ronzio of Golden, were also in the display. While in Golden, Mrs. Milne was able to get a glimpse of her brothers and sister-in-lanew baby girl, Michelle, bom June 30, 1968. in Denver. Many friends, relatives and classmates were visited through- out the vacation.
