Show November 3, 1967 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Eurekan home students at Career Day Girl irtli6 from hospital A group of home economics students from Tintic High School made a trip to Provo last Saturday where they attended Career Day at Brigham Young University. A continental breakfast was served to all those attending and an interesting lecture on types of careers was given. Students were taken on a tour of the campus and spent a most interesting and informative day. Attending were Alice Judge, Debbie Ewell, Pam Brady, Pam McIntyre, Launa Allinson and their advisor, Mrs. Leona Murray. Three of the girls, Alice Judge, Debbie Ewell and Pam Brady attended the BYU-Uta- h football game. Halloween party proves successful Mrs. Donna Paxman was sufficiently recovered from her recent accident to return home last Friday from Utah Valley LDS Hospital in Provo where she had been confined for a couple of weeks. She suffered a broken ankle while on a fishing trip with her husband, Bill Paxman at Flaming Gorge. Her host of friends are wishing her continued improvement. A seminary Halloween party was enjoyed Saturday evening at the LDS Cultural Hall. Dinner was served at 7:30 and an evening of games and a program were enjoyed. Each seminary student was allowed to invite a friend. Mrs. Ortho Christensen and Mrs. Eldon Lovell were in charge of the enjoyable evening. Road .Shows held in LDS wards Elaine Bliss, Jean, Sue Jameson and Ann Garbett and children, spent last Friday in Delta visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Kay spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fennell. Their two boys, Danny and David, who had spent the week here with their grandparents, returned to the city Sunday evening with their parents. - en- Family members honored at party Mrs. Golden White honored her sister, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Mrs. Irene and a sister-in-laa at birthday party Boswell, w, last Saturday night at the White home in Goshen. Dinner was served at 6:30. The honored guests were the recipients of many lovely and useful gifts: Family members - attending were Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Finch, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Finch, of Pay son; Mrs. Ethel Finch, of Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jensen, Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Martin Rock Springs, Wyoming, spent the weekend in Mammoth at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Rose. Larry Bliss, who is attending CSU in Cedar City, was home for the weekend visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bliss. Christian Service Womens Society of gave the Devotional. Fallowing the regular meeting, plans were completed for the dinner to be given in the Memorial Building on Nov. 12, from 4 to 7. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Society or at the door. The Tintic group started in Santaquin, then on to Goshen and ended in Eureka. The name of the- skit was Winkle Wish which was written by Mrs. Ortho Christensen. There were 21 in the cast and praise was heard on all sides for the participants. Mrs. Howard McIntyre is the director. All those participating were well pleased born Wednesday, October 25, in Payson Hospital. The little miss weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and will be named Debra. She has two brothers, Freddie, one year old, and David, one year, who will be happy to have the little sister join the family circle. Maternal parents are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Carmanico of Ottowa, Canada, paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hansen of Mammoth. and first prize was won by Mrs .Ray Badertscher; cut, Mrs. Bob Fife; and consolation, Mrs. Darrel F'ranks. arrangements, and all report an School and elementary school was a decided success. The young people had a wonderful time, and showed their appreciation of the efforts of the townspeople, who made it possible for them to have such a wonderful, fun evening. As far as is known there wasnt one bit of vandalism committed and no soaped windows on business houses or cars.
