A household formula that la simple to make at home has been levcloped by Harold C. Cook of Dixon, Illinois, nationally known ecturer and florist. The formula will edectively double tlie life of most cut evergreens, including Christmas trees. The formula uses light corn syrup, a horticultural iron p re para-ioa chlorinated bleach and hot water. For Christmas trees it k recommended that a large tree holder be used that will hold at east 1 gallon. To preserve cut evergreen boughs, use the same ormulatlon and arrange boughs in vases or suitable decorative ln-lo- n, ntainers.
