The evening commenced with a meeting of the Stake Presidency and High Council at 7 p.m., addressed by Henry G. Tempest, a member of the Presiding Bishops staff. At 8 o'clock the general assembly of the convention started. It consisted of musical numbers by Keith Cooper of Genola and a meen'a chorus from Elberta, talks by Glen Larsen, High Council member in charge of ward teaching; Stake President Carl A. Patten; and Harry G. Tempest, who stressed the great need of a more strenuous program of Ward Teaching in this stake and recounted experiences of some teachers illustrating the wonderful opportunities afforded by the visits with members. The remainder of the program Ume waa taken up by a group from the Ncbo Stake. A. E. Wall announced the remaining numbers of the program. Several songs were rendered by the Ncbo Stake Mens Chorus under the direction of J. D. Christensen with Clara Johnson as accompanist. A trombone solo by a member of the Aaronic Priesthood accompanied by Paul Christensen; a vocal solo by Irene Provstgaard; a reading by Mrs. Clarence Hill; and a vocal solo by Robert Finch concluded the program.
