He was here the past month visiting his mother, Mrs. Mary Jarrell and sister, Mrs. Art Taylor. Clyde was 72 years old and is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter and five sisters. His funeral and burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Fontana. He was a former resident of Lapoint, Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor and daughter, Kathryn left Saturday for the funeral. Mrs. Jarrell will stay with her granddaughter, Mrs. Helen Vernon and family, at Vernal while they are gone. The IRW Tops club met Wednesday evening at the Lapoint chapel. Joan Huber conducted the meeting. Queens for the month of June were Patsy Premelling, Jolella Goodrich, June and Roma Woolley, Isola Haslem. Merl Horrocks was queen for the month of May. On Friday evening they all attended the wedding reception in Provo for their son Dar Cloward and his bride Rosemary Koffbrd. Mr. and Mrs. Adell Nelson of St. George are spending a week with her parents the G. B. Workman's to help resume duties, taking care of her mother is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Pratt and three children are spending a two weeks vacation trip to Old Mexico. Miss Mavle Dye the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deloss Dye who is employed in Salt Lake left by plan for a six week tour with the foreign language league, she is the assltant principal, they will tour England, Paris, Rome, Switzerland and Amsterdam. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson went to Salt Lake Tuesday to spend the night with their daughter, the Lyle Pickups and pick up another daughter at the air port, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Peterson who have been in Illinois the past five months. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crozler became parents of a baby girl born, July 1, at the Roosevelt hospital, the grandparents are Mr. and Sirs. Charles Crozler of Keola. Sir . and Sirs. Mr. and Mrs. John Horn and son Billy and girl friend, Riverside, Calif, spent two weeks at Flaming Gorge and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lee. They also visited other friends here. Mrs. Thelma Lamb accompanied her son to Southern Utah where she visited with her mother Mrs. Louise Brlnkeroff during the weekend. Ray Perry, Salt Lake, visited his parents, the Floyd Perrys over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Berry Blrtchell are parents of a baby boy born June 18 at Roosevelt. The Blrtchells have one other boy. Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison and his parents at Roosevelt are the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Kump and Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Taylor returned home Saturday from a vacation at Bryces, and Zlons canyons. They also visited at Page, Arlz. Tom Martin, who has been going to the BYU at Provo is home visiting his Mr. and Mrs. George Bigelow received word of a baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Stan Guthrie (Saundra Kay) at Ogden The little miss weighted 5 June 20. Saundra Kay is the daughter of Mr. lbs, and Mrs. Orvel Hulllnger of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. George Bigelow and Miss Harvey Hulllnger of Salt Lake are the great grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Davis and children, Moab, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich over the weekend and also enjoyed fishing at Paradise park. Their daughter, Valenia, who has been visiting her grandparents for the past month, accompanied them home. Mrs. Lavar Anderson and children, Murray, visited her grandmother, Mrs. Mae Sprouse, and the Golden Winns during the week. Mr. and Mrs, Chuck Taylor enjoyed a birthday dinner, Wednesday night for their son in law, Clyde Collins at Ballard. Louise Alexander, Hayward, Mrs. Calif., visited at the home of Jerry Rich during the week, Mrs. Alexander Is a sister in law to the Jerry Rlchs. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen left during the week for Ogden to visit their children that live there and attend the wedding reception of their son, Ray and Carolyn Gardner, June 28.
