Show the Dellis Spencers. NEOLA tiy Zulu Spencer riding club meets makes summer plans 4-- H Neola 4H riding' club met at the home of Mr. Ray Jensen, with lira. Elvin Bastian as Thursday, March 24. There were 42 members and parents present. The 1966 books were handed out by Mrs. McNeil Duncan, and Mrs. Lynn Gardner modeled the new club shirt, which is green and white plaid. The shirts are here and members wishing to pick them up may contact Mrs. Bastion, Marlene Taylor of Montwell was welcomed as a new member. Club members were urged to get their horses in shape for the stock show in Altamont, set for the first part of May. On Thursday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m., there will be a film shown at the Neola gym on horses. All members and parents should be present and the public is invited. Young folks participating in the St. Helens fashion show last week were Everett James Daniels, Julie and Joelie Yack, and Louise Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Spencer of Bountiful spent time Sunday at the home of his sister and his brothers, the Ivan Baa ti ana, and the Dellis Spen- cers. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson went to Heber Saturday where they picked up her mother, Mrs. Rose Levi, who is from Sevier county. She will spend two months with the Petersons. College students home over the weekend to spend time with their parents, were Mavie Dye, with the Deloss Dyes, Kelly Crosier with the Charles Crosiers, and Marden Spencer with VisiLng the weekend with the Paul Whiting family were Mr. and Mis. Albert Oollotzi and two boys of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Vaun Whiting and children of Vernal, Mrs. Reed Durfee and a sister Reva Red-do- n of Altamont, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Durfee of Colorado, and a daughter, Michelle, who was blessed Sunday April 3 by her grandfather, Paul Whiting. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen and son Meldrin went to Pocatello, Ida., and enjoyed a family Saturday and Sunday. Their son, Mr. and Mrs. Warden Olsen of Boise, a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harrison of Bountiful, a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dye. and a son Ardell, of Salt Lake, all joined them. The daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold their monthly meeting at the chapel Wednesday, April 13. Dellis Spencer was in Salt Lake Tuesday March 29 where he had a growth removed from his eye. Wednesday, Mrs. Sheldon Spencer and two children of Kearns drove Dellis home, returning home by bus Thursday. Sunday evening Mrs. Howard Powell, a daughter and Patricia of Vernal, drove Mr. and Mrs. Spencer to Kearns where they spent time with sona Sheldon and family and Rawlin and family of Magna. While there they got acquainted with Mr. Watene of New Zealand, who is touring the United States for three months of Orlo and is the father-in-la- w Spencer. Mr. Watene attended sessions in the Salt Lake temple and after attending general conference will go to Lawrence. Kan., to visit his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Spen cer, and to Dakota to visit a stepson, who is on a mission, Monday Dellis had a checkup with the eye specialist, and the Spencers and Powells visited Mr. and Mrs. La veil Hor-rocer ks in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malnar went to Salt Lake Thursday and spent a few days taking care of business. Cherryl Goodrich, a daughter, and her tiny son returned home with them to spend a week helping her mother get moved into town. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Hor- rocks spent a few days in Salt Lake where he had a checkup. ALTAMONT liy Kosulce Jensen Tonga visitors are former area residents Rondo Harmon and son, Ronnie. of Tonga, were weekend visitors in Altamont. The Harmon were former residents, and he was principal of Altamont high school. At the present, Mr. Harmon is coordinator of the church schools on the islands. Loa anil Waldo Hansen were visitors in Salt Lake City during the week. They were consulting a doctor. Kent Maxfield was a weekend visitor at the Lester Max-field- Easter. Judy and Dixson Reisbeck of Salt Lake were weekend visitors of the Dewey Jessen. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dye will go to Idaho to spend time with her parents, and the Norman Dyes will return to Durango for a month and then move to Neola. Mr. and Mrs. Fairon Smith and five children of San Diego, spent two days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Whiting. They will attend general conference and visit in Riverton with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Hancock, and in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Perry, a sister. Karl Wood, business teacher at Altamont high school, is the instructor for this adult cdueation class. The class, held Monday evenings, is for instruction in beginning typewriting. It is sponsored partially bv vocational education funds from the Utah State tvpartnient of Ihihlic Instruction supplemented by the tuition fees of the students. William E. vocational suiervisnr for the Duchesne County School District, reports the elass will include 40 hours of basic practice. The supervisor states some of these students are taking this course to help them in doing community and church jobs, and for keeping family records. Bruce Hartman, Leo Haueter and Jess Christensen. TIRE SUPPLY: The bid of Basin Implement Company was accepted by the Commission to furnish a tire supply for Duchesne County this year. This firm's bid was to supply premium tires. Four bids were received by the county commission for supplying the county with 74 tires of various sizes.
