T. R. CO. ABRAHAM LINCOLN Describing Abraham Lincoln as the "most American of all Americans," S. J. Sweetring declared In an address before the Kiwanls club Wednesday evening that the great Civil war patriot has a place in history as one of the great benefactors, not only of his own country, but of the human race. According to Mr. Sweetring, fiction can furnish no parallel for the romance of his life, and biography will be searched in vain for such an amazing example at power and glory won out of a humble beginning and Adverse circumstances. Without distinguished ancestors and without powerful and wealthy kindred, Abraham Lincoln came among our forefathers and left the entire world startled and amazed at his wonderful achievements, Mr. Sweetring declared. "During his brief term of power, the speaker said, Lincoln waa probably the object of more abuse, and ridicule than any other man In the world, but, at the very moment of his stupendous victory when he fell by the hand of an assassin, all the nations of the earth vied with one another in paying homage to his character. In the zenith of his fame, he was the wise, patient, courageous, successful ruler of men, exercising more power than any monarch of his time, not for himself, but for the good of the people who hod placed it in his villi-ficati- hands. on For Value For Economy For Pleasure Priest on autos Art at their very lowest level bow during the period previous to the motoring season , . . , and the wise buyer will take advantage of the current low prices never, to our recollection, have such savings been offered every car on our floor has been thoroughly gone over and is guaranteed to be In excellent .... .... condition.
