Bells of Aberdovey, in an excellent manner. and were given the first prise. luvtd Evans, the Welsh baritone, made two spiiearancea and again charmed the audience with a beautiful rendition of two soncs by Dr. Protheroe, "My Heart Is Sere," and "Love Thee Iiearest," ihe accomiwnlments by the composer. For an encore, ha sang the sweet old Welsh song, "David of White Rock Hi selectiona for the second apearunce were In lighter vein and Included "The Dear Little Irish Girl." by special request. Mr. Evans was in splendid voice and sang with even greater feeling and enthusiasm than at his previous apiiea ranees. The choruse sang In thla order: First, Provo; second, Ogden; third. Salt Lake; fourth. Deliver. The chief Interest nf the week was in this contest and everyone was waiting nervously for the contest to begin. The society from Denver came here wl;h a reputation for exceptional work and everyone who heard them on Wednesday evening knew the other choruses would have to do remarkably well to beat them. In.
