The scheme was decided on before the meeting of the Republican state committee with Senator Kearns. The issuance of the invitations was delayed until after the meeting of the committee and Kearns. Then Joe Lippman and Kearns and Darmer had a consultation on the matter and by instructions of Kearns issued through Lippman, Darmer sent out the invitations. If Kearns had succeeded in making terms with the committee and with President Joseph F. Smith of the Mormon church for their support and for the exercise of church influence in his behalf the invitations would never have been issued and there would have been no K. K. party. Kearns is the sole instigator of the new party. There is no doubt of it. t 5 A prominent Idaho Democrat said the other day.
