Bogue, Theron Geddes, S. V. Shelp and Frank B. 'Stephens, will begin active operations within the coming week. The company has secured a bond on one of the largest dredges yet constructed on that river, with a daily capacity approaching 4,000 cubic yards, and on a series of claims covering the bars between Shelley and Blackfoot, a distance of twenty miles, and aggregating some 4,500 acres. The equipment consists of a substantial flat boat, fitted with machinery and the method employed in gravity concentration ol fine material on burlap tables, after sluice box separation, the gold being The con collected by quicksilver: tents of the sands range in value from eight cents to $2.50 per cubic yard and the average value is expected to be sufficient to give a handsome profit over the cost of handling the gravel which is estimated at four and a half cents per cubic yard. jt jt Col.
