The Paraffine company have their well, which caved in, cleared out within twenty feet of where the oil sand was first discovered, and will be at the bottom today. The indications are all good. Mr. Price, who is doing the boring, wants to get the water strata before casing, ifthrough possible. The well is now flowing a little water. i . The flowing sand, which caused the trouble, Is now all being cased off. The casing stands perfectly straight In the well This well is also flowing some water. The Newell well is drilling with a tremendous head of water. They now have to enlarge their water outlet. It has been demonstrated beyond a doubt that there- - is artesian water for a distance of six miles In the Snake River valley, which will prove of untold benefit to that country. However, it is oil the people are after, and from all present Indications, they are going to get it. After heavy buying, the books of the Fossil Consolidated Oil company closed, to reopen Tuesday morning, with the stock quoted at 15 cents. The big advance was caused by the discovery of oil in the well of the Wyoming Paraffine company. Big orders for shares came in from Wyoming, and many thousands of shares ware purchased by locay buyers. Ogden Standard. .. i . California oil men are now rushing to the Wyoming and Utah oil fields.
