Heath will leave next week for the oil fields of the Intermountain Oil company, near Fossil, Wyo., where he will meet the other members of 'the company and complete the organization. Machinery is now in transit, and, with experienced oil men, will be on the grounds the last of the month. The fields include 100,00 acres of land, and Mr. Heath looks for excel- . James Cartright, a young capitalist from Boston, invested heavily in oil fields last week. The Intermountain Oil company held a meeting in Evanston Wednesday for the purpose of electing officers. i f 1 secI. Kastor recorded thirty-fiv- e tions of choice oil lands this week. A test at the U. P. well last week showed the oil to be ninety feet from the surface. As this well is 1180 feet deep and contains no water, it will be seen that in a few more weeks the oil will be running over the top of the casing. A separator barrel is being made in the shops at Evanston for the Aspen tunnel. The barrel will catch the oil that now goes to waste in the tunnel. It is said that the company will save about fifty barrels of oil a week by this r. process.
