Active in medical circles. Dr. Madsen had served as a member of the executive committee, office of comprehensive health planning for Utah; as a member of the board of trustees of Utah State Medical Association; as president of the" Uintah Basin Medical Society, and is Chief of Staff, Duchesne County Hospital. Besides his medical service, Dr. Madsen was active in leadership roles in the LDS church. He served as a counselor in the Second ward bishopric, as a member of the stake high council, and as bishop of the Second ward, as well as other teaching and leadership positions. He has also been involved fa many areas of youth and adult counseling, as well as selections were offered by a male quartet, composed of Keith Adams, Ladd Wilkins, Doyle Wilkins and SMp Pugh; vocal solo by Monica Fisher, ladies trio, Frances McKay, Rhoda Bench, Dawnette Adamson; and a ladies ensemble, Dawnette Adamson, Carol Bertoch, Laura Rasmussen, Marva Condie, Carol Sharon Andrews, Molly Bailey, Alexander, Merna Johnson, Frances McKay, Lanis Dastrup and Rhoda Bench. Prayers were offered by Paul Harding (family prayer); Dr. Charles B. Edwards, and Dr. Guy B. White. Dedication of the Grave was by Kenneth Jackson. Pallbearers were Alden Thomas, Paul Harding, Dr. Dick H. Johnson, Dr. Dais C. Larsen, LaMar Wilson, Bishop Wendell Freston, Dr. Phillip G. Condie and Dr. Terry M. Buxton.
