A MILLION VICTIMS One million persons fell victim to dealers in all kinds of shoe string stock during the past year, according to the estimate of investment bankers. These persons paid toll of more than $1,000,000,000 to the stock swindlers in the 12 months period. So alarming is the increase in bogus stock sales eoch year that a nation-wide campaign against this great menace to the savings of the country is urged. They realize what vast sums Oi .Tlou-e- y are diverted from the channels of legitimate investment, and that those who have lost through fraud are chary about investemnts wholly safe and legitimate. Many laws have been passed seeking to protect the investor against fraud, but in spite of them the stock swindler survives. The lure of enormous profits still lingers. And that is why so many are on the "Acker lists. It is a good plan to consult a reputable investemnt banker before writing a check for "gassy stock.
