Articles WV UTAH The' musical treat of the season, without doubt, in this city, will be the aiqieuranCe here of Innes and his great I mild on April 28, at the Grand. This announcement is made wrlth due regard for the proprieties, too, for though Ogden was not visited by the grand opera, it has had some of the best musical attractions of the winter, and has had little cause ror complaint. However, even though the opera went by without stopping, it will be able to hear music strictly of the operatic class, for Innes has the world-wid- e reputation of playing only the very best, in a fashion quite beyond the ability of the ordinary hand to match. This, of course, Is due as much to the genius of the leader as to the ability of his players. Money will secure the services of the best players, but it cannot buy the genius that brings out the very best that is in every man and makes of him a artist. This Is inborn In Innes alone, and his remarkable power of pulling it out or the players Is the thing that people wonder at and remark. As a consequence, the Times band has always been a synonym for the- grandest in musical rendition. and that it has a right to this name, it proposes to demonstrate during Its coming stay here. This will be only for a day. mores the pity, but in ' that time, the assurance is .given that the most unusual of the band's vast repertoire will be rendered. - 28, 1905.
