It aaya: A decidedly gratifying and bullion settlements approaching $2, 000, 000 for the month and the copper product reaching the magnificent showing of 4,300,524 pounds.bring-In- g the total in value for that time close to 13,000,000. The copper output from the Independent smelters is decidedly gratifying both for the week and the month. The weeks output aggregates 1,210,524 pounds, divided as follows: Bingham Con., 191,265 pounds; Utah United States Con, 331,710 pounds; 46,301 pounds. The grand total for the month Is measured by 3,210,524 pounds. To this should.be added to obtain the output of the state In pounds, the pro duct from the American Smelting and Refining company, estimated at about 150.000 pounds, but the money value of this copper la included In the regular To these ore and bullion settlements. totals should also be added the output smelter bom the Utah and Eastern near St. George, which Is probably 240.000 pounds and the value of which Is not included In the ore and bullion settlement returns. A number of mines of the state, the ores from which are sold to Independent buyers, are not Included In the totals give, so that the ore and bullion sales, Including the copper from the American smelter will aggregate close to 32, 000,000, while the copper from the Independent concerns, aggregating 8,450, 524 pounds, will bring from $750,000 to $1,000,000, making the total output of the state for the month of the precious metals aproach very comfortably to the 83,000,000 mark. Profits from nine Utah mines were distributed during the month of April in the way of dividends to the extent of $269,000.
