TO ADVERTISERS. advertising copy must be In the previous evening to Insure Insertion All A , Among the many mngaslnes now on our reading tables, one in particular deeervea more than a passing word of praise; a publication primarily for sportsmen and Nature lovers, but edited along such bright, original lines as to please the most critical. We refer to the March Issue of the Sports Afield. The Initial paper is a poem, The Flight of the Cranes," with a world of spring music In its stirring lines; then follows a sketch of frontier country life by Dr. H. S. Garfield of Oregon. Those of ue who have ever n shot the festive will recall a hundred pleasant memories In reading Mr. Burkes Chicken ShootIn Thaun Dhoul ing in Illinois." Orth, Patrlclus Dubtach. a young Irish writer, contributes a typical story of life on the ould sod. The Roundup of the Road Agents" accurately the methods of a gang of Northern Pacific Railway train robbers and their final capture, the author himself being one of the pursuing party a concise, plainly told narrative of desperate endurance and manly courage. Dr. T. M. Bridges of Idaho shows plainly how the life of the Indian, even before the coming of the white man, had its full share of privation and suffering. And, best of all, S. D. Barnes Barnes of Arkansaw begins his Carlin, thrilling serial, A Insuring that this and the successive issues of Sports Afield well be read by the whole family and lent to the neighbors afterwards. Other Interesting papers are: Moose and Caribou in Alaska," Along the Florida Coast," "British Columbia Fishing," Practical Bait The Market Hunter as a Casting, The Choice of a Gun," etc. Trainer," The departments headed Natural History, In the Field, Our Young Sportsmen, Fish and Fishing, Rifle and Trap, Our Friend the Dog, etc., are all as complete and interesting as usual. The issue Is finely Illustrated and a good number every way. At your newsdealers or of the psbllshers, on receipt of 16 cts. Sports Afield, 358 Dearborn die next day.
