Or which will average 9104 to tlie ton has been opened in the new workings of this property and at the present time the management has a good sized shipment of this ore on the dump. The shaft is down 131 feel and a drift has been run for aliont 40 feet in which tlie ore Is being opened. It la expected that the Gold Crown will commence shipping in a few days. The property is located in the foot hills of the Btar district and adjoins the old Estella property. 9104 Oft Few Months, New Yark, Feb. 28, 1010. Hott. Thomas Kerns, Balt Lake City. The St. Marys is another property which is rapidly gaining prominence. The shaft is now down 100 feet from where a drift has been run fur 125 feet. The management is now driving this drift to cut the copper ore veins which have been opened in the upper working and it is thought that this will be reached within tlie next 50 feet. Considerable good ore has been taken out of tlie shaft and several tons of the ore is now on the dump. A , three drill compressor has been ordered and is expected to arrive In a short time when it will be stalled at the property. It Is tlie Intention, as soon aa this compressor la installed, to commence an active campaign of mining and pnt the St. Marys in the shipping class as soon aa possible. An important feature of the find is that it is . an open flaanre which has been encountered, resulting in thoroughly ventilating the tunnel, which is in about 4,200 feet. Bmall values in silver and gold were found in the vein material and it is said that meueralization la increasing in a drift which has been run a short distance. The tunnel has for some distance been cutting a scries of mineralized fissures in the limestone and the country la regarded aa highly favorable for the making of large bodies of good ore.
