His grandparents are Jay and Doris Christensen, Redmond, and Leon and Barbara Hill, Smithfield. are Earl and Clara Spencer, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Ida Christensen, Redmond. Doris went up to help for a few days, and Kathy and baby came home with her Sunday to Friday. Jay and Doris took her home, and they attended graduation exercises for Ross, who received a degree in mechanical engineering from Utah State Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Air Force R.O.T.C. He will be ts leaving June 9 for Del Rio, Tex, and Lackland Air Force Base on a jet pilot training course. Sunday, they named the baby Brandon Ross. Also having their baby named Sunday in Magna were Dale and Colleen Christensen. Dale named her Julie Ann. Their oldest son was baptized Saturday and confirmed Sunday. Jay and Doris Christensen, Allen and Louise Jensen and family, and Scott and Carol Lee Johnson and son were in Centerville Sunday, May 31, to attend a missionary farewell for Elder Brian Spencer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blain Spencer. Best wishes go out to Tim Miller, who was injured at the mine W He received a compound fracture when hit by an object. He was treated at Sevier Valley Hospital and then transported to Utah Valley Hospital, where he was in intensive care. His wife, Barbara, and parents, Rulon and Betty and family, were with him. He is now out of intensive care and doing well. Karral and Lorna Draper came home from California Saturday, May 29. They spent almost three weeks in Marysvale and Crescent City. Byron and Vera Jensen had a dinner on Memorial Day for relatives, Mrs. Blanche Peay, Twin Falls, Ida. ; Mr. and Mrs. son, Las Vegas, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Peterson, Clearfield, visited her, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Don Hogan, Manti. Bill Rawcliffe, Provo; Mrs. Alta Bills and Leland and LaVon Williams, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Leda Jensen and Eva Jensen. Harvey and Lorna Dickerson and family came Sunday and visited her parents and went on to Grand Canyon. Here for the opening of fishing were Craig and Toni Jensen and her sister, Holly Mendoza, and his sister, Brenda. They went with grandparents, Wallace and Amelda Poulson, to Otter Creek. DeVon and Kay Jensen were here Saturday and Sunday at Byrons. The DeVon Jensens and Harvey Dickersons and family were here last weekend to paint their parents home on the outside for their 48th anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moriey, Kaysville, and their son, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Moriey and family, spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Peterson. They all had breakfast in Salina at the Legion Park on Memorial Day. Bruce installed a light for Sidney and Nellie. Mr. and Mrs. DeLoyd Christensen, Salt Lake City, were here and in Aurora for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Mickelsen and family, Ontario, Calif., and her brother, Jesse Cadena, Ruand brother-in-laben Fuentes, and son, Alhambra, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Russel and family, Salt Lake City, were at their mothers, Mrs. Edris Mickelsen. They were fishing at Otter Creek. Visiting at Mar and Leona Mickelsen s on Memorial Day were his sister, Mis. Delilah Rasmussen, and her children, Keith Rasmussen and Rodney and Maxine Porter, Salt Lake City. Mrs. Veda Jensen had a lot of company over the Memorial weekend. Her son, Howard Jensen, came from Bloomington, Ind., where he teaches at Indiana Univeisity. He was here five days before going to Cedar City to direct the Shakespeares Henry IV part two at the Shakespearean Festival.
