There are three areas we as a council are very concerned about, said Gregory S. Bell, mayor. We have leanings toward open space as an advantage and an amenity for out community. We want to see some type of usability, real use of the open space, and third, we want to know the degree to which the public could receive direct benefit either through biking, jogging trails or equestrian. We also need access to the lake. The project will be impacting the area to the east as much as usability to the west, said Bell. I still see a priority to allow public access to get in and touch and feel the open space area, said Summerhays. When people leave their homes, I want them to have a nice place to walk.
